Résumé : | The purpose of this book is two-fold: (1) to encourage an interest in biblical study in those open-minded persons who, for a variety of reasons, have not had a meaningful experience with Scripture; and (2) to instruct all those who have the desire but lack the knowledge to interpret the Bible effectively. This educational process is made more meaningful by being focused on the life of Moses, one of the greatest personalities of the Old Testament. To understand this past we will have to dip into the book of Genesis a number of times, and since his life spans the books of Exodus through Deuteronomy we will be examining most of the Pentateuch ("Five Books"). Moreover, adequate handling of some of the problems will necessitate reference to the books of Joshua and Judges; therefore in tracing the list of Moses the reader will receive a good deal of practice in interpreting biblical sources. |
